Exclusive Catering Contract
All campus catering is to be provided exclusively by Taher Campus Dining. All prices and menu Items are subject to change based on market conditions.
University and Health Code Restrictions
Oakland County Health Department codes pertaining to food borne illness and University liability concerns prohibit food from being brought onto campus for consumption. Uneaten food and beverages may not be taken from your event location. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
Ordering deadlines and final meal counts
In order to give you the best dining service possible we require all final food and beverage selections to be submitted 10 days before your event. We require a final guaranteed quest count one week prior to your event. Reductions cannot be made after this date. You will be charged for the guaranteed number of guests or the actual number of guests served, whichever is greater. We plan on feeding 5% over the final guest count as a courtesy to our guest on buffet service. Last minute orders will always be cheerfully accepted, however additional charges or fees may be added to your order.
What you can expect to receive
Included in your cost will be all linen and table skirting for food display tables and food presentations. Additional table linens or table skirting for guest seating or guest presentations is available for an additional fee. All food is served on polystyrene foam. Upgraded disposable service ware is available for $.75 per person. Fine china and linen napkins are available for $1.50 per person.
Service Charges, Payments, Deposits and Fees
All food and beverage services, including internal LTU events are subject to an 18% service charge and 6% Michigan sales tax, if applicable. All outside organizations will require a 10% non-refundable deposit at time of booking. Final payment is required the day of the event Groups of less than 15 guests will be charged an additional $50.00 Orders received less than 5 business days prior to your event will be charged a $50 late fee. Prices are subject to change based on market conditions.
