Financial Aid Time Line 

It's that time of year again when all students need to think about completing their annual application for financial aid.  Pay close attention to key deadline dates that may impact certain aid availability and early registration process.

 3/11/11 - Request for Summer 11 financial aid available on web (http://www.ltu.edu/financial_aid)

4/1/11 - Office of Financial Aid priority deadline for 10/11 FAFSA’s  (OFA will continue to process late applications but awards depend on availability of funding)

4/1/11 - Award package notification begins for 2011-2012

4/18/11 – Advanced registration begins for Summer/Fall 11(balance must be paid in full to register)

4/25/11- Final week to accept 1011 aid offers

5/2/11 –  Final exam week begins

5/7/11 – End of Spring 11 semester- no further aid available –outstanding aid offers expire

5/15/11- Commencement

5/15/11- 1st half Summer tuition payment deadline (late fees will follow if tuition unpaid)

5/18/11 – Summer 11 classes begin – Did you request Summer aid? Request at http://www.ltu.edu/financial_aid

6/15/11 - 2nd half Summer tuition payment deadline (late fees will follow if tuition unpaid)

7/1/11- Deadline for Michigan Tuition Grant (FAFSA data needs to be successfully submitted prior to this date to CPS)

8/1/11 - If applying for financial aid after this date, award notification prior to semester start is questionable, but will be processed soon after

8/15/11 - 1st half tuition payment due (late fees will follow if tuition unpaid)

9/1/11 - Financial aid enrollment verification and disbursements begin on fund by fund basis depending on enrollment status

9/15/11 - 2nd half tuition payment deadline (late fees will follow if tuition unpaid)

9/20/11- State enrollment verification deadline (MI Tuition grants & MI Competitive scholarships for UG students cancelled for the year if students not enrolled for fall semester prior to this date due to State budget constraints)

11/15/11 - Advanced registration for Spring 12 begins (balance must be paid in full to register)

12/1/11 - Loans accepted after this date may not be processed due to federal regulatory constraints

1/1/12 - Great time to start thinking about completing the FAFSA for 12/13 - High school seniors and returning Lawrence Tech student Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for upcoming year 2012-2013 is available on the web at www.FAFSA.ed.gov

1/3/12 - Spring 2012 financial aid enrollment verification and disbursements begin on fund by fund basis depending on enrollment status

1/15/12 – 1st half tuition payment due (late fees will follow if tuition unpaid)

1//12 - Financial Aid Night at LTU beginning at 6:30pm - TBA

2//12 -  TBA  College Goal Sunday, students can get assistance with FAFSA (of course they can get assistance anytime at the On Stop Center) Sites to be announced

2/15/12- 2nd half tuition payment deadline (late fees will follow if tuition unpaid)

3/1/12 - Should complete tax returns prior to this date to allow using accurate tax return information on FAFSA

3/1/12 - Deadline for Michigan Competitive Scholarship program (FAFSA data needs to be successfully submitted prior to this date for CPS)
