Accepting and/or Declining Your Awards

This process is in development and you will be receiving instructions beginning in June 2008 to continue the loan application process.

If you would like to review your awards online, proceed with the steps below. The LTU Office of Enrollment Services will be working diligently in the next few months to develop a list of preferred lenders that will provide the best possible borrower benefits for you to consider as you investigate all of your financial aid opportunities.

Once the loan process and new preferred lender list are finalized, you will receive further instructions on how to accept and/or decline your loan(s) and work study offers. Please keep in mind that grants and scholarships are automatically accepted and the amount disbursed (or not, if not enrolled properly) will be conditional on your enrollment status for the semester.

Step 1> Log onto www.LTU.edu/Bannerweb

Step 2 > Click on:  Login to Secure Area. The User ID is your student ID # (see award notice for 9 digit number). The PIN is your LTU PIN # (or, when used for the first time, your birth date in mmddyy format). If unsuccessful, contact the One Stop Center at (248) 204-2280 for PIN reset instructions. Then, click on: Login

Step 3 > On the next menu, click on: Student Services & Financial Aid, then Financial Aid, and then My Award Information. Next, click on: Accept Award Offer by Aid Year then click on: “ √ ”(the check mark in the small box). Select Aid Year 2008-2009 and Submit.

Step 4 > Depending on your decision, select one of the following choices: “Accept Full Amount of All Awards” OR “Accept/Decline/Decide Later” OR “Accept Partial Amount”. Lastly, click on:  Submit Decision. If at a later date you change your decision, contact the One Stop Center at enrollmentservices@ltu.edu. Descriptions of your financial aid offers can be found at http://www.ltu.edu/financial_aid/required_reading.asp. Please read and understand the conditions of all your awards before accepting any of them. Step 5 > Completing the documentation to secure a federal student loan (Stafford and/or PLUS) - Additional steps and instructions will be sent to you in June 2008.
