The purpose of the RSSC is to support and serve Lawrence Tech faculty as they engage in research, scholarly, and creative activities as part of their academic responsibilities. These web pages provide a wide range of information and resources for faculty members pursuing or managing sponsored projects. The RSSC also maintains a Blackboard organization "Research Support Services" to which all Lawrence Tech faculty and staff have access.
The RSSC identifies and recommends improvements in infrastructure and support for LTU faculty initiating and conducting applied research. This includes both pre- and post-award support services. The RSSC is sponsored by and supported by the LTU Faculty Senate, Office of the Provost, Office of Technology Partnerships, and Office of Finance and Administration.

The Staff Senate is comprised of all members of the LTU Staff. Open meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month (or as needed) for all staff members. Staff members are granted time away from their offices to attend Senate meetings. In addition, the Senate hosts social gatherings throughout the year, to which members of the university community are invited.
The Staff Senate Board is the administrative arm of the Staff Senate, and represents the Senate to the university administration. The Staff Senate Board is comprised of nine elected staff members, who are serving either a one or a two year term. Of these Board members, there are positions held by elected officers. Elected positions include the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and Secretary.
The Staff Senate Board meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month to discuss business issues. Committees are formed and led by Staff Senate Board members. They involve staff members collaborating together to accomplish of the objectives of the committee.
