Biography Gerald (Jerry) Lindman, J.D. is Senior Lecturer and Director of the graduate program in nonprofit management and leadership of the College of Management at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI. Jerry leads academic programming and instruction of LTU’s graduate nonprofit program which focuses on developing the next generation of nonprofit CEO’s with it business-based nonprofit curriculum. As an instructor, Jerry teaches in the MBA program of the College of Management Strategic Nonprofit Management (MGT6073) and Healthcare Law, Regulation and Management (HTM 5043). Both graduate courses are taught on campus and 100% online. As Director of the Center for Nonprofit Management, Jerry leads a community outreach program offering a variety of relevant, professional development and community training programs for all stakeholders of charitable nonprofit including executives, board members and professional s who serve the charitable nonprofit community. Jerry is a member of the Healthy Safety Net Committee of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, the Academic Institutions Initiative of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Exempt Organizations Division and the State Bar of Michigan. He is an alum of the U.S. State Department Global Community. Jerry has designed and led sharing and learning sessions for visiting NGO delegations from Ukraine, Russia, Haiti and the United Kingdom. Jerry regularly serves as a featured presenter at conferences, workshops and seminars addressing strategic topics of nonprofit management such as governance, board accountability and transparency, financial management and public policy advocacy and lobbying. Jerry has a BA in Economics from Michigan State University and JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
