Research Activities Main
Dr. Jensen's interest spans mechanics of materials, structural fire safety
and infrastructure applications. The current investigations reach from
fundamental problems in the field of concrete damage during natural fires
and loading, mechanical and thermal properties of concrete reinforced with
carbon nanotubes, long-term performance of pavements, engineering
properties of concrete bridge structures reinforced with carbon fiber
reinforced polymers (CFRP) to life cycle cost analysis of CFRP reinforced
concrete bridges.
Her research activities include the numerical and experimental
assessment of concrete material and structural behavior. Applications
have covered building and infrastructure systems. The current and recent
research sponsors include NSF, MEDC, MDOT and PCA. Dr. Jensen is
an active research member at Lawrence Tech's Center for Innovative
Materials Research.
