Entrepreneurial Engineering Programs impact all our engineering students by developing an entrepreneurial mindset through the curriculum, co-curricular activities, a certificate, and student projects. Entrepreneurial mindset attributes include critical thinking, creativity, innovation, the understanding of the value of input and feedback from diverse perspectives and cultures, basic knowledge of business practices, experience working in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams, and effective listening and communication skills. These attributes are not learned in books, but rather through practice in different settings. Entrepreneurial Programs are supported by numerous grants and donations to the university including those from the Kern Family Foundation, the Coleman Foundation, and Lear Corporation.
On this site you will find many opportunities to develop as an entrepreneuial engineer: internships, funding for entrepreneurial student projects, a certificate, or working with our Engineering Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
