Why LTU for Engineering Technology?
This is an important question considering there are seven engineering technology and technology bachelor degree programs in Michigan. One must be careful when selecting a University to complete your degree at. LTU has had a flawless reputation for decades. Our students are known to be able to produce in the work world immediately upon graduation.
We have an excellent location that is easily accessible from all parts of southeastern Michigan. We have a large commuter population in which that is very important, but in reality, it is important to residential students as well. Safety is very important and our record is sterling. This can be verified by contacting the LTU Campus Security department, who must file a uniform report with the FBI each year. LTU’ campus is one of the safest in Michigan.
LTU has a co-operative education program that includes Engineering Technology (ET) students. There are a number of pathways for ET students, designed to meet the needs of all students. Employment for ET students is very good and nearly all of ET students are employed in an area related to their educational pursuit well before graduation. The advantage of being located in metropolitan Detroit, in combination with LTU’s reputation, makes employment for our graduates very high.
