Lawrence Tech’s 2008 Formula SAE® team benefits from this competition by gaining valuable practical experience and knowledge in the following areas:

Donor Involvement

Lawrence Tech’s Formula SAE® team seeks support to reach a fund-raising goal of $70,000. Their aim is to not only help the 2008 team, but also future Formula teams. Individual and company contributions can take the form of money, equipment, or materials. Industry-standard software and equipment are essential for keeping the formula teams competitive. The 2008 team hopes to purchase such foundational equipment and tools as:

• Data acquisition software
• Alignment racks
• Torsional rigidity and vehicle inertia test fixtures

Donor Benefits

All donations are 100 percent tax deductible. In addition to supporting education, your name or company name will be displayed at the competition and in printed materials and press releases. For a company, participation provides opportunities to gain exposure to the automotive and racing industries and promote your business to the general public and future and practicing engineers and designers. You can also receive feedback on the performance of your products under racing conditions.
