Dr. Jensen received her Ph.D from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Her specialization is Material and Structural Engineering. Research interests include construction and highway materials with special emphasis on Portland Cement Concrete, highway analysis and design, and distress development of concrete pavements as affected by environmental and mechanical lading. Dr. Yawen Li received her BS and MS from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, and her PhD from MIT, all in materials science and engineering. She went on to complete her postdoctoral training in the Center for Engineering in Medicine affiliated with both the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Since 2004, Dr. Palyvoda has held the position of Research Associate/ Assistant Professor Research with the Smart Sensors and Integrated Microsystems (SSIM) program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Wayne State University. She has a M.S. in Biochemistry from Lviv National Univesity, Ukraine and a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences, Maria Sklowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center - Institute of Oncology, Poland.
