Why Lawrence Tech’s Program?

• Students can actively participate in cutting-edge applied research projects. Recently, Lawrence Tech has garnered international acclaim on the design and construction of the first prestressed composite reinforced concrete highway bridge in North America.

• The University is home to one of the largest structural testing facilities in the Midwest, with state-of-theart testing equipment and advanced sensors.

• Civil Engineering faculty members are involved in developing engineering design codes and experimental testing standards and maintain close partnerships with industry.

• Civil engineering faculty members also publish extensively in professional journals and have attracted millions of dollars in research grants from private foundations and such entities as the National Science Foundation, Army Research Laboratory, Portland Cement Association, Federal Highway Administration, and state departments of transportation in Michigan, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

• All course work is offered in the late afternoon or evening, making the program convenient for working professionals. Students can complete the program in as few as three semesters.
