 2009 Steel Bridge Team

The Student Steel Bridge Competition is a competition sponsored by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). At the college level, students work together to design, fabricate, build and test a scale model steel bridge. This year's bridge will be 20 feet long an will stand 2.5 feet tall with all chord supports below the decking supports. With this challenge, the 2009 Lawrence Technological University Steel Bridge Team is looking forward to starting the design process. The Regional Competition will be held at Lawrence Tech April 3, 2009. The top two teams will advance to the National Competition, which will be held at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
