Webinar, Conference, and Paper Submission Opportunities

Lawrence Technological University has institutional memberships with various organizations, including Sloan-C, EDUCAUSE, New Media Consortium (NMC), and more.  These organizations provide opportunities to participate in webinars and submit proposals or papers for conferences.  Opportunities are added to the calendar below for all faculty and staff to view.  Any questions can be directed to eLearning Services.

EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology.  The EDUCAUSE website contains information about Major Initiatives of the organization as well as Professional Development and other resources for education professionals.


ELI (EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative) 

ELI's mission is to help institutions advance learning through IT innovation. To achieve that mission, we have adopted a strategic focus on learners and successful learning. Why? Effectively using IT to improve learning requires a solid understanding of learners and how they learn. ELI explores three primary areas: learners, learning principles and practices, and learning technologies.


Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C)

The Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) is an institutional and professional leadership organization dedicated to integrating online education into the mainstream of higher education, helping institutions and individual educators improve the quality, scale, and breadth of online education.  Sloan-C supports the collaborative sharing of knowledge and effective practices to improve online education in learning effectiveness, access, affordability for learners and providers, and student and faculty satisfaction.

NMC (New Media Consortium)

The New Media Consortium (NMC) is an international not-for-profit consortium of learning-focused organizations dedicated to the exploration and use of new media and new technologies. 

ETOM (Educational Technology Organization of Michigan)

The Educational Technology Organization of Michigan is a non-profit organization dedicated to the use of instructional telecommunications in higher education with an emphasis on distance learning. Established in December of 1980, ETOM has, and continues to be, a valuable resource for Michigan colleges and universities, related businesses, other educational organizations, and other interested individuals.
