Logging into Blackboard 9.1

Blackboard 9.1 -  LTU has upgraded the Blackboard system to the latest version 9.1. You can access Blackboard 9.1 at  https://my.ltu.edu.

The Blackboard usernames have also been updated for all users to match their Campus Email username. When you log in for the first time, you will use your date of birth (MMDDYYYY) as the password. After you log in, you should change your password and update your preferred email address by editing Personal Information.

If you do not know your new username, you can look it up from BannerWeb:
1. Log into BannerWeb.
2. Click on Personal Information.
3. Click on View Email Addresses.
4. The Campus email address before the @ltu.edu is your new username.

For security reasons, you should change your password the first time you log into Blackboard.

Verify, and/or update email address listed in Blackboard and change password

Blackboard (by default) uses the LTU email address (username@ltu.edu); any email sent from any course or organization is sent to the email address listed in Blackboard. To change the listed email address:

To change/verify email address in Blackboard:

• Access the Blackboard Tools (left side of main screen)
• Select Personal Information
• Select Edit Personal Information (email)
• Type in the desired email address and click Submit

To change the password in Blackboard:

• Access the Blackboard Tools (left side of main screen)
• Select Personal Information
• Select Change Password
• Type in a new password; tab and type in the password again to verify; click Submit

If you have forgotten your Blackboard password, use the 'Forgot your password?" link on the login screen, or contact the Computer Help Desk (248.204.2330, helpdesk@ltu.edu) to have your Blackboard password reset.
