Laptop Returns
Laptops must be returned to the Help Desk when the student leaves Lawrence Tech for any reason. The laptop must be returned within 5 business days from the date of withdrawal, graduation, dismissal, or any other departure from the University in order to avoid late fees.
Laptop return dates are normally the week of final exams and are posted on this website at: http://www.ltu.edu/computer_center/return_dates.asp
Failure to return the laptop within 5 business days will result in a late fee charge of $20 per day up to a maximum of $3000.
If the laptop is returned in a timely fashion and in good working order, the laptop deposit of $500 is refunded. Any additional charges incurred by the student relating to the laptop program will be deducted from the security deposit before a refund is made.
Accessories
All accessories provided with the laptop must also be returned to the Help Desk with the when the laptop is returned. Students will be charged for any accessory not returned.
Security Deposit Refunds
All security deposit refunds are made by Business Services. The Help Desk does not accept or disburse any funds.
Refunds are sent to the address on file with Business Services and typically take 10-15 business days to process.
