Technovate 2009
Official Rules
Technovate 2009 is open to individual students, teams and classes throughout the United States. Teams can be of any size. All participants must be enrolled in the 9th through 12th grades; if homeschooled, participants must be at the high school level. Your challenge is to create as much value as possible using an object to be revealed on March 30. Value can be measured on any scale you choose.
Remember, value comes from actually implementing your ideas and delivering results. To be successful, challenge assumptions, seize opportunities, be creative - Dream, Explore, Discover and then Make it Happen!
Prizes will be awarded in a range of categories, including most creative, most daring, most socially responsible, most value created, and biggest flop.
We will showcase the best projects and announce the winners on April 25, 2009 at Lawrence Tech's campus in Southfield, MI.
Judges will select all but one winner. The audience will select the remaining winner. Bring your friends to increase your chances of winning the audience prize!

You have until April 20, 2009 to complete your challenge and create a video of three minutes or less. Note that production quality of the videos will NOT be a judging criterion - it's the substance that counts.
Upload the video to the Technovate 2009 YouTube page AND fill out the Submission form at the website by April 20, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The video must be less than 100 MB. All videos will be viewable to the general public.
By entering Technovate 2009, you certify that your video is an original creation by you/your group, and you and all participants in creating the video hereby transfer to Lawrence Technological University an irrevocable worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute or modify the video in its entirety or portions thereof. You agree that the video and the names of the participants may be used in connection with and promotion of the video, including, but not limited to, within promotional materials for Lawrence Technological University and its affiliates.
