Designed for high school sophomores and juniors seriously interested in biology, chemistry, and physics, Lawrence Tech’s Forensic Summer Science Institute offers you the opportunity to study with outstanding university professors and top students from other schools.
Now in its 47th year, the Summer Science Institute includes forensic biology, forensic physics, and forensic chemistry and is held on weekdays, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. You’ll use top-notch equipment in modern labs and explore DNA fingerprinting, drug testing, hair and fiber analysis, ballistics and testing for gunshot residue, blood detection using fluorescence analysis, and so much more!
All you pay is $400/commuter or $550/residential (includes meals). Both prices include a nonrefundable registration fee of $200. University lab experience of this caliber can cost thousands of dollars, but special funding makes the Forensic Summer Science Institute available to motivated high school students. Need-based scholarships in the amount of $200 are available to extremely well-qualified students. Apply soon—space is limited!
The scholarship application deadline is June 17, 2016; the registration deadline is June 3, 2016.
