Tickets
Students and Guests
All students planning to attend Commencement must fill out the Commencement RSVP & Ticket Order Form and present it in person during one of the ticket distribution dates. Please note: We will not accept forms that are sent via mail, fax, or email. All ticket forms must be presented in person. If you are currently living out of state please contact us at graduation@ltu.edu for further instructions.
Commencement tickets are limited, and each graduating student will be allotted 6 guest tickets in addition to their own student ticket. On the request form, students may request to be added to a wait list for an additional 2 tickets. Wait list requests will be filled in the order they are received if tickets are still available.
In order to be eligible for tickets, students must petition to graduate prior to the time of pick up. Students who petition after the April 15th deadline are not guaranteed Commencement tickets. Late petitioners will only be able to secure tickets once they are opened up to the general community, if some are still available. Students without tickets will not be allowed to participate in Commencement. Guests without tickets will not be admitted into the arena. Seating for all guests is general admission and on a first come, first choice basis. Guests must be seated by 12:30pm. Seat saving will not be allowed. Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced.
Students must pick up their tickets in person on one of the distribution days. We will only release tickets to the graduating students. Friends, family and others cannot claim tickets on your behalf. Any tickets unclaimed after the final April 15 distribution day will be forfeited. Tickets will not be mailed unless the student is not registered for any spring classes AND no longer resides in the state of Michigan.
Faculty
All faculty members participating in Commencement must have a ceremony ticket. Both ceremony and premium parking passes will be available for pickup in each college’s Office of the Dean from April 1 - April 15. After April 15 all tickets will be subject to availability. Faculty members without tickets will be unable to participate in Commencement.
Premium Parking Passes
While there will be plenty of free parking available for everyone, the lot adjacent to Ultimate Soccer Arenas will require a Premium Parking Pass for access. Premium Parking Passes are reserved for the Board of Trustees, faculty participants, volunteers, and graduating students (one per student) on a first come, first served basis.
