How do I make a CareerQuest account?

Click on the CareerQuest logo on the Career Services Website at http://www.ltu.edu/career_services/index.asp?_wds=cs. Click on the appropriate login button (Student or Alumni). Your username is your Blackboard username and password (initial password 8-digit birth date). If you graduated prior to 2009 and have an LTU email address the first part o the email is your username and password your 8-digit birthdate. If you do not have an LTU email address please click the register button. 

What if I forget my CareerQuest username or password?

For current students and alumni with an LTU email address your username is your Blackboard username. If you do not remember, click on the ‘Forgot username’ link. An email will be sent to the email address on file to send you your username. If you forget your password, click on the ‘Forgot password’ link. An email will be sent to the email address on file to reset your password. 

What services does Career Services offer?


The Office of Career Services offers a variety of services to assist in career exploration and success. Some of our tangible and non-tangible services consist of job search assistance, resume and cover letter critiques, Thank you letter composition, interview guidance, career and professional development and more. 

How do I contact Career Services?


The Office of Career Services is open 5 days a week from Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm in the A. Alfred Taubman Student Services Center, C404. Appointments are scheduled Monday-Friday by appointment and walk in resume critique hours Fridays from 10am-11:30am. Please call or email 248-204-3140 or ltuocs@ltu.edu to request an appointment. Evening appointments are available upon request. 

If I need help with my resume what do I do?

Resume assistance is offered during individual appointments in the OCS, walk in Friday first come first serve resume critiques from 10am-11:30am, and during various workshops scheduled throughout the Fall and Spring semesters. For upcoming workshops and events check bulletin boards and the CareerQuest announcement page for locations and times.  

How do I get a job?

Career Services has many services to assit you in your job and career success. Make an appointment to discuss your individual goals or join the OCS during events and various workshops offered every Fall and Spring for professional development.
