Co-Op Experience
Final Presentation

OBJECTIVE

The purpose of the final presentation is for the co-op student to articulate his/her work experience and how learned theories and principles were applied in the workplace.  The final presentation will supply Career Services staff, college administrators, and faculty the evaluation of student’s complete co-op experience.

 PRESENTATION OUTLINE
  1. Introduction (2-4 minutes)
  2. Co-op Assignment or Project (5- 7 minutes)

a. Describe a co-op assignment or project you felt most proud of and/or felt received the most valuable theoretical and practical experience. 

Or

b. Describe a co-op assignment or project you felt that did not meet your expectations and/or provided a lesson learned.  If any, please make sure to provide recommendations for improvement. 

    3.    Panel Discussion (10-15 minutes)

a. Career Services staff, faculty, and/or a guest panelist will ask questions in regards of your co-op experience and career planning.

    4.   Conclusion

GRADING

There is no right or wrong answer in your presentation; however, you will be graded on the following:

  • Clarity of your co-op assignment or project
  • Poise and Self-Confidence in presentation
  • Verbal Communication Skills
  • Clarity of career interests and goals
  • Ability to link academic background with experience
  • Preparation for presentation
  • Interest in and enthusiasm toward co-op experience
