Academic Credit Information

 

Once you are placed with a company for the Co-op Program, then you will need to register for one of the following courses.  An Add/Drop Form with a signature from Career Services staff member is required before registration. 

Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Civil Engineering:

ECO 3001 (Engineering Co-op Practicum I)
ECO 3101 (Engineering Co-op Practicum II)
ECO 4001 (Engineering Co-op Practicum III)

Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Mathematics/Computer Science:

MCS 3001 (Math/Computer Science Co-op Practicum I)
MCS 3101 (Math/Computer Science Co-op Practicum II)
MCS 4001 (Math/Computer Science Co-op Practicum III)

Engineering Technology and Technology Management:

TCO 3001 (Technology Co-op Practicum I)
TCO 3101 (Technology Co-op Practicum II)
TCO 4001 (Technology Co-op Practicum III)

 

 Co-op Practicum I:  During your first co-op practicum, you are introduced to a company that will provide training and professional development.  You will be given at least one co-op assignment/project for each semester from your assigned supervisor. 

Co-op Practicum II:  During your second co-op practicum, you are continuing to work with the previous employer from the first co-op practicum or with a new company.  You will be given a different co-op assignment/project or continue work from previous co-op practicum. 

Co-op Practicum III:  During your third and final co-op practicum, you are continuing to work with the previous employer from the second co-op practicum or with a new company.  You will be given a different co-op assignment/project or continue work form previous co-op practicum.
