Off the Lake, Onto the River Soon

Around 9:15 this morning. we did a mini presentation for the students at the Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies. They were a spectacular audience!  I saw some of the work they do building canoes and other nautical items and I’m stunned. They have knowledge that well surpasses mine, and can build things I would embarrass myself attempting!  Good work gals and guys!

After showing them our canoe we hopped in the King Ranch Expedition, Ford Motor Company so generously donated, and headed back on the road to Raccoon Creek for another 14 miles to Walnut Creek.  This is really exciting: only one more paddling day and we’re done with Lake Erie and ready for the next phase!
