No Underwater Launch, but a Great Underground Railroad Stop

by Denise Janus

This morning we drove to Madison Township park to put in, but the waves were too high and with the boat ramp being right off the lake, it would have been too hard to launch, so we decided to take a rest day. Dr. Vogt and I visited the Hubbard House Museum, a stop on the Underground Railroad.  We learned a lot there about the Underground Railroad — one interesting fact is that no slave that went through the Hubbard House was ever recaptured.  I highly recommend a visit!
