The LTU Campus Safety Department will provide Alerts or information to the University population as the situation dictates. These Alerts will cover events that have occurred or are occurring on campus such as safety precautions, crimes against persons and major property crimes.
The Lawrence Tech Community Notification System allows Parents, Students, Faculty and Staff to sign up to receive cell text messages and/or multiple e-mail messages when there is a campus related event in which large numbers of people need to be notified quickly.
LTU Campus Safety Officers will do a primary field investigation when taking an LTU Incident Report. The Director of Campus Safety may determine if a follow up investigation is required by Campus Safety or may refer the matter to the Southfield Police and/or state and federal agencies having jurisdiction over the crime.
