From April 4th through April 6th, Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI will be playing host to the 3rd Annual International Broke Student Film Festival. Started by alumnus Kathryn Ruff in 2012, the Festival reaches out to student filmmakers from Southeast Michigan and around the world.
The competition consists of a 10-problem pencil-and-paper exam taken by teams of 2 or 3 undergraduates. A school may enter multiple teams. There is a $35 registration fee per team to help defray expenses. Lunch will be provided.
Sponsored by Lawrence Tech's Media Communications program and the College of Architecture and Design, students will have the opportunity to explore various media workshops in a hands-on setting. Programs offered include Game Art, Movie Magic, Set Design, TV Production, and Web Design.
