Business in Southfield are coming together to fight against cancer, and we hope you’ll join them! The Southfield Corporate Relay For Life will be held on September 10, 2014 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the LTU quadrangle. Relay For Life is a competitive volunteer event that raises money to support cancer patients and research, promotes a healthy lifestyle and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. We will also have a kick-off breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Southfield Town Center Atrium that everyone is welcome to attend!
Businesses are forming teams to compete, and students are welcome to form teams too! There are many ways for teams to fundraise, but Relay For Life also offers tips to help you get started. The money raised from the event is vital to the American Cancer Society’s mission of saving lives by helping people get well, stay well and actively fight back against the disease. The money raised through Relay For Life supports research to develop treatments and search for a cure, helps patients pay for costs associated with cancer treatment and makes it possible for the American Cancer Society to provide resources for those fighting the most challenging battle of their life.
Any donation helps the American Cancer Society continue its mission and makes us one step closer to putting an end to this disease for good.
