Certificate in Technical and Professional Communication

The Certificate in Technical and Professional Communication (CTPC) was designed for professionals who are seeking an alternative to a degree and would like to broaden their backgrounds in technical and professional communication. Additionally, all Lawrence Tech undergraduates have the opportunity to earn the CTPC to enhance the value of their professional degrees.

The certificate program requires 15 credit hours, six of which can be chosen as electives from the entire range of undergraduate and graduate technical and professional communication (COM) courses.

The following courses are required for the Certificate:

• COM2103  Technical and Professional Communication
• COM2113  Speech
• COM3483 Presentation Media or COM3553 Interpersonal Communication
  
  ......Plus two additional COM courses (six credits) at the 2000 level or higher.
