Research involves systematic inquiry or investigation into a subject in order to discover, revise, or interpret facts and theories with the purpose of advancing human knowledge.

As a research project you can assist faculty in original research and/or conduct original research in Natural Sciences, Math and Computer Science, Information Technology, or Humanities and Social Sciences.

Your project can explore career paths in research or graduate education.

You can present your research at undergraduate conferences and/or publish your work in academic journals.

A senior project can become a Quest project if you present an abstract at a regional or national undergraduate research conference, at LTU Open House, or if you assist a faculty member in teaching his or her course.
