In this Quest project Alex Zarembo and Matt Antrobius (Uof M) combine their passion for automotive technology with their careers in computer science and electrical engineering. This project will cover aspects of engine management tuning and calibration. A variety of skills are needed to complete this project including: fabrication, computer, time management, collaboration, research and technical writing. As a proof of their concept toward the end of the project they will be taking the compiled information and applying it by tuning their own vehicles on Lawrence Tech's chassis dynamometer. The end result will be a guide that details how to properly setup and tune an aftermarket engine management system for maximum performance. This guide will be posted electronically so that their automotive peers can benefit from their knowledge and research. Currently Alex and Matt have three outside sponsors for this project: Hondata, ECMTuning and RC Engineering.
