Psychology Degree Requirements
122 credit hours
All psychology majors will complete the 48-credit-hour Arts & Science core:
Humanities, with emphasis on leadership (26 credits)
Mathematics/Computer Science, including calculus and statistics (14 credits)
Biology (8 credits)
All psychology majors will also complete the 28-credit-hour Psychology core:
World of the mind, introductory psychology, industrial psychology or organizational psychology, research methods, developmental psychology, history & philosophy of science, and three lecture/laboratory components in sensation & perception, cognitive psychology, and behavioral neuroscience.
Finally, students will complete 46 credit hours of psychology and general electives unique to their concentration:
Clinical Psychology
Clinical psychology, drugs and behavior, social psychology, and abnormal psychology
Industrial/Organizational Psychology
Industrial psychology, organizational psychology, and human resource management
Pre-Med/Biobehavioral Psychology
Biochemistry, organic chemistry, molecular biology, and physics
