Dr. Anthony Sky is Professor of Chemistry at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. He received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Maine-Orono in 1987 and spent two years at the University of Notre Dame as a postdoc. He joined the faculty at Lawrence Tech, in 1991, where he teaches organic chemistry and other advanced chemistry courses and previously served as the Director of the Masters in Science Education Program at LTU. His current areas of research are in chemical ionization mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance. He has been a member of the Executive board of the Detroit Section of the American Chemical Society since 2001 and he is currently the section's secretary. Dr. Sky has also served on the Detroit Section of the American Chemical Society’s Education Committee since 1996.

Dr. Sky has served as chair of the Department of Natural Sciences since July 2006.
