Dr. Chidi began teaching at LTU in January of 1991. His courses include Statistics I & II, Engineering Mechanics of Materials, Statics, Engineering Quality Control & Reliability, and Fluid Mechanics.

He spent six years at Detroit Diesel Corporation as a Senior Reliability Engineer, and is currently at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, as Product Engineer. He is attached to the North American Diesel - Power Train group.

His degrees include a BSc, BSME, MSME in Mechanical Engineering / Applied Mathematics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering in 1994 from the University of Detroit-Mercy.

He is a certified Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Michigan. He is also American Society for Quality (ASQ) - CQE, CRE certified, and Ford Motor Company Consumer Driven 6-Sigma Black Belt Certified.
