Assistant Professor of Computer Science
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Lawrence Technological University anticipates the appointment of an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in August 2008. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in computer science, be primarily committed to the development of undergraduate and professional graduate computer science students through teaching and projects, and believe strongly in the value of both theory and application. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in the fields of bioinformatics or informatics, but all well-qualified candidates will also be considered. Review of candidates will begin on December 11 and will continue until the position is filled.

Post-Doctoral Instructor in Biochemistry
The Department of Natural Science seeks a Biochemistry Postdoctoral Instructor who demonstrates an obvious enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching and the ability to involve undergraduates in scholarly research in an undergraduate college environment. The candidate will establish a productive on-campus experimental research program involving undergraduates. The successful candidate will be expected to serve on the department committees as required. The applicant must have earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Ph.D in Organic Chemistry with experience or emphasis in biochemistry required. Laboratory experience in organic and biochemical are preferred. Prior teaching experience and the ability to enhance the department’s experimental course offerings is a plus. Salary will be competitive. Lawrence Technological University, the Detroit metropolitan Region’s premier private university, is seeking an assistant professor to fill tenure-track position in American Intellectual History.
