Ms. Stevens has taught at LTU for the past 10 years. She teaches Spanish and English Grammar, as well as specialized Spanish courses such as medical spanish, Spanish for law enforcement personnel, and online courses for various universities. She has a BA in Professional and Technical Writing, and in Spanish. Her MSBA is in International Business. Ms. Stevens speaks fluent Spanish, French and Italian. Her professional experience includes previously work as Editorial Director for a PR company in Mexico, acting as co-hostess and guest speaker for TV and radio programs, being a columnist for the Oakland Observer newspaper, and being listed in the World Who´s Who of Women (1984 ed.). She has been a professional translator for over 15 years, and has written seven books on different topics, including English phonetics for Spanish speakers.
Ms. Stevens is an international business consultant, and is in charge of the Spanish program at LTU. In 2208 she was a CollegeBoard AP reader for Spanish Language, and a guest speaker at the Oxford Round Table Conference in Oxford, England, on the topic of Human Migration: Borders and National Interests. Ms. Stevens is a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
