Ms. Marylou Naumoff
Marylou R. Naumoff is a doctoral candidate in the department of Communication at Wayne State University. Her area of study is contemporary rhetorical criticism and theory informed by cultural studies as well as poststructural, psychoanalytic, political and feminist theories. Her research agenda explores the intersections between rhetoric and citizenship studies with a focus on American national identity. Her dissertation work examines the state of the troubled liberal universal to better understand the function of contingency in rhetoric. She has been teaching since 2001 in the areas of speech, persuasion, business communication, and rhetoric.
