Ms. Charbeneau teaches World Masterpieces I and II, Literature of the Built Environment, English Composition, University Studies Seminar, and University Composition. Her research studies include medieval studies, Arthurian Literature, and Old English. She is also currently working on her doctoral thesis, which focuses on American popular culture reinventions of Twain's "Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court."
Ms. Charbeneau earned her B.S. in Humanities at LTU in 1989. She then went on to gain a M.A. of Literature from Oakland University in 1993. Her current graduate course work is being completed through Wayne State University.
In addition to working as an instructor, Ms. Charbeneau is also a ESL instructor at the Language Center International in Southfield, MI. She has published various articles for Long Publications, including such topics as collectibles, food, travel, and art. She has given presentations for the 1998, 2000, and 2002 Papers at the Arthurian Sessions of the Popular Culture Association Conferences in San Diego, Philadelphia, and Toronto. She spoke at the 2002 Historical Architecture for the Richard III Society. Also, Ms. Charbeneau served as a keynote speaker at the 2001, 2004, Michigan History Day Various Addresses for Sigma Phi Epsilon.
