Bachelor of Science in Humanities
The humanities degree stresses broad knowledge, critical thinking and effective communication, and provides a background in language and literature, history, the social sciences, and the arts. Graduates enter careers in diverse fields, ranging from communications and government to advertising, public relations and teaching. They also pursue advanced degrees in areas such as history, literature, anthropology, linguistics and journalism, and in law school and M.B.A. programs.

The humanities curriculum allows you to organize your education to achieve a specific professional goal while you receive a solid liberal arts education that deepens your intellectual development. You can:
- learn in classes taught only by qualified, experienced faculty (not graduate students), whose members are experts in their fields
- learn in small classes that encourage interaction with your teachers and fellow students
- receive careful and caring advising focused on your needs
- engage in discussion with students and faculty on a wide range of topics, including literature, art, music, philosophy, history, economics, film, and drama
