Minor in Economics

MCS1214 Introduction to Mathematical Analysis 1
MCS1224 Introduction to Mathematical Analysis 2

SSC2303 Principles of Economics
OR
SSC2313 Principles of Macroeconomics
SSC2323 Principles of Microeconomics

Plus four additional upper division courses in economics (12 credits)

Because economics is the science underlying globalization, business, and much of government policy, a minor in economics sets you apart. It shows that you're better prepared than most to think rigorously, analyze incentives, and  understand the outside forces which affect any organization - business, nonprofit, or government. Whatever your major, your job is very likely to call on you for skills about costs, finances, and markets. With an economics minor, you will know more about the institutions and theories which, collectively, drive most of the world's daily work.

Consult with your advisor to determine the best way to coordinate this minor with the requirements of your major curriculum.
