Certificate in Leadership & Change Management
The Certificate in Leadership & Change Management was developed with the help of experts from the business and educational communities, and constructed so that it can be a stand alone academic certificate or attached to any of the undergraduate management degrees. Prerequisites for the core curriculum are Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or Management & Supervision. The certificate consists of four classes that, in most cases, involve team teaching.

Organization Development and Macro Change Theory
(HRM3043) This course consists of "themes" centered around various types of organizational structures in today's marketplace, performance management and productivity / quality improvement, organizational culture, and macro change theory and process.

Managing Business Relationships
(HRM3053) This class has two modules. One module deals with leadership self-assesment and the individual's leadership style. The second module deals with appropriate leadership style as it pertains to a team.

Team Building and Group Dynamics for Business
(HRM3063) This course is specifically designed to enhance skills for building teams in business. A portion of the course incorporates the principles covered in COM3463 Collaborative Communication.

Communication for Business Leaders
(HRM3073) This course will be developed around 3 modules from principles covered in three existing courses: COM2103 Technical and Professional Communication, COM2113 Speech, and COM3103 Advanced Technical and Professional Communication. Emphasis is on business writing, preparing and presenting business presentations and use of appropriate technology in performing this work.
