Peter Beaugard is a educator, innovator, and designer who has spent more than eight years authoring innovation strategies, building new brands, products and services, and accelerating their path to market for some of the world’s largest companies. He received a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and a MFA in 3D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
He is currently the chairman of art and design department at Lawrence Tech. Previously, he was an innovation consultant with Fahrenheit 212, an innovation strategy firm in New York City. Beaugard is also the co-founder of Studio Couture Detroit, a defunct fashion boutique turned part gallery, part design studio, and part arts incubator in Detroit’s central business district.
He has lead dozens of cross-functional teams and client engagements on diverse projects from financial services and consumer package goods to consumer electronics and health care. Beaugard’s client list includes Proctor & Gamble, Hillshire Brands, Nestle, The Hartford, Mars, Pfizer, Lowe’s, and Catterton Partners.
He has presented and published on design, education, and innovation both national and internationally through outlets including Teacher College, Columbia University; Ryerson University, University of Michigan; Print Magazine; Salon.com; and TedXDetroit.
