His work creates parallels between Detroit and other cities in the world with similar urban issues and explores their revitalization through art, more specifically, work in the public realm and “street art,” and the implications it has socially, economically, and culturally. Coy works on a range of projects that shape cultural landscapes in various ways. He is also involved in community arts programs and collaborates with various non-profits in Detroit to deliver art curriculum to youth in the city. He has displayed work in Beijing, Sydney, Melbourne, Berlin, Art Basel Miami, Honolulu, and London among others. Coy’s work has been featured in The New Yorker, New York Times, Rolling Stone Magazine, USA Today, The Economist, Art Ruby, Bad at Sports, Culture POP, Juxtapose and Huffington Post.
