Supplementary Education Programs
The College of Architecture and Design offers the following programs to supplement the architecture studio experience. Students are challenged to integrate the world of creative design and representation with technological, analytical and conceptual methods taught throughout the curriculum. Both the Study Abroad programs and Detroit Studio offer a dynamic urban format for students to apply their design approach. Additional programs compliment the student-run organizations offered within the school, further connecting students to their profession beyond the classroom.
Study Abroad
The College of Architecture and Design offers a regular summer travel abroad study in Paris as both a 2 week and 4 week format which may include: photography and field sketching studies, museum tours, design studios, and urban planning research. We are also building new exchange programs in China and India and support associated travel to China and North America with our class offerings.
