Master of Architecture 3+ Program

For students who have an undergraduate baccalaureate degree in a field other than architecture, but would like to pursue their Master’s of Architecture degree, LTU offers the M. Arch 3+ program. Students interested in this option must formally apply to the University sending their college transcripts and a portfolio for review. The portfolio is to consist of free-hand drawing and sketch, architectural drafting, perspective drawing and rendering, 2-Dimensional design, 3-Dimensional design, and introductory AutoCAD and REVIT.  If a student does not have a portfolio with this content, LTU offers preliminary courses where this content can be obtained.

ART 1115 Design Elements and Principles (2-D and 3-D Design)

ART 1225 Visualization Techniques (Drafting, Free-hand Drawing, Perspective, and Rendering)

ARC 2813 Electronic Methodologies 1 (AutoCAD and REVIT)

In addition to the portfolio, the following Lawrence Technological University courses (or their equivalent, as determined by the College of Architecture and Design) are to be completed as prerequisites to structures and systems courses.
