Great Alumni Programs

1. Communications
Special mailings throughout the year announce Alumni Association activities and programs available exclusively to members.
2. Alumni Career Services
The Lawrence Tech's Office of Career Services offers free career guidance (including resume critiques) to alumni as well as the opportunity to post resumes on-line to employers. A special Alumni Placement Roster of registered alumni seeking new positions is sent to all prospective employers seeking experienced personnel. 3. Library Privileges
Your Alumni Association membership card offers you full access to the University Library and its wide range of books, periodicals, and computer SEARCH services, including the historic Albert Kahn library collection.
4. Field House Privileges
Special access to the gymnasium, exercise track, courts, conditioning room, sauna, and other facilities of the Don Ridler Field House is available to Lawrence Tech alumni for a modest annual fee. Contact the Office of Alumni Relations for information on obtaining your special application.
5. Special Rates on Alumni Gift Items
Alumni enjoy discounts on Lawrence Tech glassware, jackets, shirts, sports apparel, mugs, neckwear, pens, and more from the Lawrence Tech Bookstore.
6. Merchandise and Service Discounts
Merchants and vendors offer discounts on a wide variety of goods and services in Southeast Michigan. Take advantage of often substantial savings, whether you reside in the metro area or are in town visiting from an outstate or out-of-sate location. Call the Office of Alumni Relations at 248-204-2307 for info on discount programs.
7. Alumni Activity Program
Enjoy activities with Lawrence Tech alumni, personnel, and their families at special member rates. Events range from regional outings to pro sport events.
8. Special Programs: Open House
Enjoy a particularly special welcome during Open House weekend each year, when the Association offers special opportunities to see the campus and enjoy fine company, entertainment, and food.
9. Alumni Chapters
Alumni Chapters are forming in major U.S. cities. Chapters are encouraged to meet several times yearly to provide personal contact with administrators, faculty speakers, and sponsor other University-oriented programs. Contact the Office of Alumni Relations for information. Whenever alumni want to know the latest from Lawrence Tech, the alumni staff is prepared to help.
10. Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award
The coveted Alumni Achievement Award honors graduates who have distinguished themselves through service to their profession, community, and alma mater.
11. Alumni and Student Interaction
The Alumni Association helps current students through special scholarship and sponsorships. A legacy scholarship has been established for children and grandchildren of alumni, and support of competitions, sponsorships, and other programs encourage scholastic excellence and enhance the campus environment. One of the most valuable contributions you can make is to tell others about how you were helped by your Lawrence Tech education.
12. Your Personal Campus Representative
The Alumni Relations staff stands ready to help you year 'round. The office directs programs for alumni and provides sources of information or assistance. The University also promotes higher education in cooperation with alumni offices at other colleges and universities around the country, through the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
