The individual programs have their own sets of requirements. Additionally, all Lawrence Tech students must adhere to the following:

Grade Point Average
Have a cummulative grade point average of 2.5. Students in the College of Architecture and Design must have a cummulative GPA of 3.0.

Passport Requirements

Have a passport that is current at least 6 months after the date of your planned return. To request a new passport or to renew a passport, visit the U.S. Department of State website. Passport requests should be done immediately to assure on-time arrival.

Financial Stability
Have financial support. Countries that require a Visa for entry will deny student Visas if you cannot demonstate financial stability and support during your time abroad. The Study Abroad Office can assist in filling out Visa forms.

Tuition Requirements
Be prepared to pay LTU tuition rates as per our exchange agreements with the different institutions. If you decide to participate in a program that we do not have an exchange agreement with, you will be responsible for payment due to that institution.

Course Approval
Students must gain approval for courses from their advisor, department chair, and Guest Credit Committee. Advisors and department chairs must sign the student's LTU Study Abroad Application which signifies their approval. The approval letter from the Guest Credit Committee must be submitted to the Study Abroad Office before courses will be created.
