Meet Our Tutors

Abishek Singh is originally from Delhi, India and attended public high school there. Abhishek completed his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical and Automation Engineering at Indraprastha University in Delhi. He is now in his second year at LTU studying for a Master's of Science in Automotive Engineering. Abhishek has industry experience both overseas and in Michigan, and is involved with the Formula Zero organization at LTU. Abhishek tutors math, engineering, and physics. |

Preethi Gunti is originally from Hyderabad, India, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Vardhaman College of Engineering. Preethi is now pursing her Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering at LTU, where she has also been a math and engineering tutor since January 2008. Preethi has previous tutoring experience as a computer lab assistant at her undergraduate institution. |
| Drushan Mavalankar is originally from Ahmedabad, India, where he completed his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pune. Drushan is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering at LTU. He has experience working in the industry as a production engineer at several Indian automotive companies, and is now involved with LTU's University Formula Zero team. In his spare time, Drushan likes to discuss philosophy, play table tennis, and read and listen to music. Drushan tutors math, physics, and engineering. | |
| Erisa Panajoti was born in Albania but moved to Michigan as young girl. She currently lives in Royal Oak, and went to high school at Kimball High. She is in her fifth year of studying Architecture and Civil Engineering at LTU, and has been a tutor with the AAC for two years. Erisa's favorite subject to tutor is math, but she can also help with physics, reading comprehension, and natural sciences. | |
| Haley Smith is from Rochester Hills, Michigan, and went to high school at Rochester High. She is a freshman at LTU with previously earned college credits in math and German from Oakland University, as well as several AP credits from high school. Haley is pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at LTU, and is involved with the University's sorority system. Haley tutors math, physics, and chemistry and can assist with reading comprehension and ESL conversation. | |

Qassem Alabbas is from Saudi Arabia, where he completed his Associate's degree in Industrial and Chemical Laboratories at Jubail Industrial College. Qassem also completed year of coursework at Michigan State University before transferring to LTU to study toward his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Qassem has been tutoring math and engineering at the AAC since January 2008, and in August taught a 4-day pre-course in calculus to students prior to the start of the semester. |
| Valerie Tetro is a student assistant at the AAC and the Coordinator of the high school tutoring program. Valerie is from Jenison, Michigan and has been working at the AAC since May 2006. Val is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. |
